The tumblers and cups are made from slip poured into molds of various cups I&#8217;ve thrown on the wheel. One of my favorite parts of the creating process is experimenting with combinations of color and glaze techniques. My glazing style is influenced by abstract paintings and different colors and textures in nature. The two glazes available in my current collection are: THE WHITE COLLECTION, which has a white center and grey edge, and THE PLATINUM COLLECTION, which has a grey center and white edge. These glazes make a beautiful table setting when keeping with one glaze collection or when combining the two glaze collections together. All the pieces in my current collection are microwave and dishwasher safe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #bd934f;\">Serving pieces (only) are available for purchase at The Cook Store in Mountain Brook, AL. Dinnerware, serving and inspirational pieces (all) are available through my home studio in Hoover, AL, as well as&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #bd934f; font-size: revert;\">online shopping from this website. Throughout the year, I will&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #bd934f; font-size: revert;\">be participating in art shows in and around the Birmingham area so be sure to follow announcements of those events and showcases of new work by following Gidge Black Pottery on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
